Enjoyed presenting on AI literacy and participating in a panel discussion today at the British Geological Survey (BGS) Science Festival. Lots of insightful questions and discussions – well organised and facilitated!
There is some exciting geoscience AI research being undertaken at the BGS to support the public both in the UK and Internationally, looking forward to day #2!
I shared some of the recommendations from the AI Ethics Report of the Geoethics Commission of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) published recently. The latest international geoscience organisation to endorse the recommendations were EuroGeoSurveys this week, consisting of over 37 geological surveys in Europe.
