91 MW changes hands in Thailand: Levanta Renewables, Actis’ pan–Southeast Asia renewable energy platform, has acquired a fully operational 91 MW ground-mounted solar portfolio across 10 sites in Thailand’s Suphanburi and Kanchanaburi provinces. The assets generate about 155 GWh of clean electricity annually under long-term power purchase agreements (PPA) with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). The company targets to achieve an operating capacity of 1.5 GW by 2028.
Glorit solar farm cleared in New Zealand: The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has announced that an independent panel has approved the proposed Glorit Solar Farm and substation in North Auckland, subject to conditions. The 179 MW PV project by Solar P LP and Transpower New Zealand Limited will include energy storage and a 33 kV transmission line across a 300-hectare site, with panels covering about 283 hectares. The decision, issued 150 working days after the application was lodged, was made under the now-repealed Natural and Built Environment Act 2023.
NSW backs major solar and battery project: The Minns Labor Government has approved the AUD 1.2 billion Richmond Valley Solar Farm near Rappville, led by Ark Energy in New South Wales (NSW). The 435 MW project, which includes a 475 MW/3,148 MWh battery, will generate enough clean energy to power around 175,000 homes each year and create 342 jobs, according to estimates. The solar farm is the 21st renewable generation project approved by the state’s Minns Government, supporting NSW’s Net Zero 2050 target.
HRE acquires 42 MW South Korean portfolio: METLEN Energy & Metals and Korean energy developer HRE Co., Ltd. have signed an agreement for HRE to acquire a 42 MW portfolio of operational and under-development solar projects in South Korea. These form phase 1 of METLEN’s renewable energy portfolio in the country. The 5 projects are expected to produce over 60 GWh of clean power annually, supplying more than 12,000 households. METLEN said that the deal supports its Global Asset Rotation Plan and strengthens its liquidity. Both companies are also exploring broader collaboration on large-scale solar, battery storage, and green-powered data center projects in South Korea.
Inverters and control for 200 MW plant: Spain’s Ingeteam will provide its inverters and control systems for European Energy Australia’s Winton North hybrid project in Victoria. Set to start operations in 2027, the facility will generate around 227 GWh of clean energy annually across 256 hectares. The project includes a 100 MW AC solar farm and a 100 MW/2-hour battery energy storage system (BESS). Ingeteam said it will supply plug-and-play medium voltage power stations, integrating inverters, LV / MV transformer, MV switchgear, and auxiliary services panel to help with grid stability.
Japanese companies collaborate: iGrid Solutions and CPower Corporation of Japan have signed a basic agreement to collaborate on on-site PPA projects in Japan, targeting 30 MW combined capacity. Over the next 3 years, the duo will target over 10 MW capacity annually. The partnership aims to combine iGrid’s AI-based rooftop solar expertise and CPower’s solar development and integrated operations, leveraging their combined track records of having installed 305 MW and 208 MW, respectively. The initiative supports corporate Green Transformation (GX) and contributes to building a carbon-neutral energy infrastructure for Japan, stated the duo.
