Looking at the If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies website, I really like the materials it provides in extending on the book. I also like the idea of an assurance contract for a large event (dismissals from PauseAI movement leadership notwithstanding). However, I see a key problem with how it's set up: there is no indication of how many signatures it has received.

Adding a signature indicator would serve many useful roles:

It would provide evidence of how close or far we are from reaching the goal, which would improve in planning ahead if, say, it's close to getting enough signatures and we should start planning a dateIt would function well as a motivator for future attention on getting more signatures (people like to see numbers go up)It would ensure greater transparency to the community on how well or poorly the campaign is goingThe lack of an indicator may cause people to be suspicious that e.g. it has received unusually few signatures, or the signature list is not in an organized database, or something similar

I wonder why this has not already been done, and if there are any technical obstacles for the site in setting it up.
