沃尔沃能源推出PU2000 C&I电池储能系统

沃尔沃能源,沃尔沃集团旗下公司,近期推出其PU2000 C&I电池储能系统(BESS)。该模块化储能系统整合了逆变器和电池组,提供三大优势:通过云基能源管理系统与充电方案集成,实现多本地电网市场的互操作性,满足能源供应、灵活性和辅助服务需求。结合沃尔沃站点控制器,可实时监控工厂并优化储能或放电,支持工商业用户。系统采用PFAS无氟灭火剂和自动烟雾探测系统,集成液冷机制控温度,符合欧洲严格网络安全法规。此外,支持削峰填谷、负荷转移、辅助服务创收及电动汽车充电等功能,单系统储能2000kWh,输出功率达1000kW,可持续2小时,可并联扩展至20MWh。目前北欧市场已开始接单,其他欧洲市场预计近期商用。

Volvo Energy, a Volvo Group company and a supplier of charging solutions, energy storage, and battery management solutions, among others, recently launched its PU2000 C&I battery energy storage system (BESS).  

According to the company, this containerized 'all-in-one' storage system, which combines an inverter and battery banks on a single platform, offers 3 key advantages. 

Pairing with the company’s cloud-based energy management system, it integrates with charging solutions and offers interoperability between multiple local grid markets with varied requirements. These requirements encompass energy supply, providing flexibility, and ancillary services, among others. In addition, Volvo’s site controller, when paired with the storage system, provides plant monitoring in real time and enables cost-optimized storage or discharge of energy for commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers. 

The company states that its safety and security features are on par with the standards of the Volvo Group. PU2000’s fire suppression function, supported by an automatic smoke detection system, uses direct injection of PFAS-free fire extinguishing agents during fire occurrences or thermal runaway. In addition, its integrated liquid-cooling mechanism, which controls the operational temperature of the storage solution, offers full-load rated capacity at high industrial temperatures without degrading. On top, its digital monitoring and control software supports over-the-air updates, aligning with Europe’s stringent cybersecurity regulations. 

Lastly, from an operational perspective, this integrated storage solution offers flexibility to C&I customers’ functional requirements, such as peak shaving, load shifting, grid market revenue generation through ancillary services, and electric vehicle (EV) charging. 

Apart from key advantages, it stores up to 2,000 kWh of energy and delivers full-load output of up to 1,000 kW for up to 2 hours at a 0.5 P nominal discharge rate. In addition, it can be upscaled to a capacity of 20 MWh by connecting 10 units in parallel. 

The company states that it is taking orders for this product in the Nordic markets, with commercial availability in the other European markets expected in the near future.
