Now customers — across all cloud platforms — can connect their SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP BDC) solution environment to their existing Databricks instance for zero-copy, bi-directional, live data sharing of SAP's semantically rich and governed Data Products - with no data engineering needed. Built on Delta Sharing, SAP Business Data Cloud Connect for Databricks leverages the same open protocols for data sharing that power the Databricks ecosystem.

You can now treat Databricks as the central operating system for all your data, while SAP BDC continues to be the trusted foundation for mission-critical SAP business processes.

Seamless configuration in a few clicks

Connecting SAP BDC to Databricks is fast, intuitive, and secure. With only a handful of steps, enterprises can establish a trusted link between the two platforms. The integration is protected by a dual-layer security model - mTLS combined with OAuth - helping to ensure a secure, secretless authentication. Once the connection is approved on both platforms, sharing data products in both directions is frictionless: assets published from SAP BDC can be mounted directly into Databricks Unity Catalog and treated just like any other Delta-shared assets. That means teams can start querying and analyzing SAP solution data alongside the rest of their enterprise data almost instantly, unlocking faster insights and more collaborative workflows.
