With the Brazilian photovoltaic (PV) market in focus, Huasun Energy, a pioneer in heterojunction technology (HJT), showcased its lineup of modules at Intersolar South America 2025. 

The company displayed its Himalaya Series G12-132 module for the utility segment. This dual-glass module comprises 132 G12 half-cells interconnected in a zero busbar (ZBB) layout. According to the company, it has a rated power output of up to 760 W and an efficiency of up to 24.5%, which is expected to be commercially produced by the end of 2025. Featuring dimensions of 2,384 × 1,134 × 33 mm, it generates up to 3% higher power compared to its TOPCon counterparts. Its temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C makes it suitable for Brazil’s hot environment. The company states that these advantages help utility PV projects maximize long-term generation yield and ensure quick economic return. 

Also on display was the Everest Series G12R-108 module, aimed at Brazil’s expanding distributed generation (DG) PV market. As the name suggests, it features 108 G12R-size half-cells in a ZBB interconnection layout. This module offers a rated power output of 520 W and an efficiency of 23.4%. With smaller dimensions of 1,960 × 1,134 × 30 mm, it is built with 2 mm front and rear glass. Additionally, its cell matrix is encapsulated with a front light conversion film (LCF) and a rear EVA. The LCF converts the incoming UV rays into visible blue light, protecting it against ultraviolet-induced degradation (UVID), common in Brazil’s hot and humid climate. The edges of the module are also sealed with butyl adhesive to mitigate potential moisture ingression in humid climates. 

Apart from utility and DG, Huasun also showcased its Kunlun Series G12R-132 vertical PV application module. Unlike the standard half-sinusoidal power curve generated from a PV module that is inclined with respect to ground or floor level, it delivers a power curve that resembles a dual peak. This generation profile corresponds to the generation hours in the early morning and late afternoon, which the company attributes to the up to 100% bifaciality of these modules. It matches high-value electricity pricing periods or time-of-day (TOD) tariffs, creating additional revenue streams for project owners. In addition, this module integrates into multiple installation scenarios such as Agrivoltaics, transportation, and buildings, with improved land-use efficiency. Huasun added that it also helps in easing grid transmission pressure, albeit passively. Equipped with 132 G12R half-cells, this Kunlun series module offers a maximum power output of 660 W and an efficiency of up to 24.43%.
