Yesterday I got my first word by putting together two non-game words and the same thing could have happened today with FEEDBACK, which got me off to a great start.
As a former music journalist I have attended the SOUNDCHECK of numerous artists as they test out their kit before a concert. It was something that I used to find the idea of quite exciting – seeing the artist on stage before anyone else – but which I quickly discovered was among the most boring things a musician has to do, which is why the most famous pass over the job to a member of their road crew.
Perhaps it was all worth it, though, as it allowed me to sail through today’s Strands without a hitch. Check one-two.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT's not-so-new-any-more word game, following Wordle and Connections. It's now a fully fledged member of the NYT's games stable that has been running for a year and which can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
