Texas-based PV module maker Mission Solar Energy showcased its lineup of ‘Made-in-USA' TOPCon and PERC products, developed for residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and utility applications in the US at RE+ 2025. 

Among its exhibits, the company emphasized its latest MSX N-type 180HC series rooftop application TOPCon module, which it characterizes as a ‘flagship’ product. Featuring 108 half-cut cells, it delivers up to 435 W and an efficiency of up to 22.8%. Sized at 1,722 × 1,134 × 35 mm and laminated with 3.2 mm front glass and black backsheet, it weighs 21.3 kg, making it suitable for rooftop installations. 

According to the company, this module carries up to 6.2% domestic content. It helps US solar developers meet the domestic content threshold of 45% for their projects, thereby making them eligible for the 10% tax bonus credit in addition to the 30% investment tax credit (ITC) or production tax credit (PTC). The company added that this locally made product is free from anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) tariffs. 

In April, the US imposed AD and CVD on PV cell and module imports from Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam (see Over 3,000% Final AD/CVD Tariffs On Southeast Asian Solar Products). Fueling uncertainty, in August, the ambit of this investigation was broadened to India, Indonesia, and Laos (see US Investigates Solar Imports From Laos, Indonesia & India). 

The company also displayed its N-type Bifacial 132 HC series TOPCon module at the show. Equipped with 132 G12R half-cut cells, it boasts a maximum power of 620 W and an efficiency of 23%. It is larger than the aforementioned product, measuring 2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm, and features 2 mm front and rear glass. Weighing up to 33 kg, this module has applications in the C&I and utility segments. 

Apart from TOPCon, the company also promoted 2 bifacial PERC models – MSI PERC Bifacial 144HC and PERC Bifacial 144HC. The former, equipped with 144 half-cut cells, offers up to 555 W of power, while the latter, featuring 132 half-cut cells, is rated for up to 670 W. The 144-cell module achieves a maximum efficiency of 22.78%, while the 132-cell counterpart has a slightly lower rated efficiency of up to 21.6%. The former features a glass and transparent backsheet-based configuration, and the latter is built with 2 mm front and rear glass.
