Synology provided me with the following:
- Synology DS923+ NASSynology E10G22-T1 – 10GbE RJ-45 AdapterSynology DDR4 Additional Memory ModuleSynology SAT5210-480G SSD Drives x 4
I spent some time the other evening to assemble it.
First, I installed the E10G22-T1-Mini 10GbE network adapter.
Next up came the D4ES02-4G memory module upgrade.
Finally, I had to mount the SAT5120-480G drives to the drive sleds and slide them in.
I then brought it up to my office and wired my new DS923+ up to the network. I used two network uplinks, one to my Mesh Router to be accessible from my Wi-Fi network and the 10gb port went to my lab network switch to go on the storage vlan in my homelab. It looks great on top of my DS1517+! Also pictured is my Asus AI Mesh router and my Seagate 3TB External HD that I backup data to. Oh, and some NJ VMUG swag! All sitting on top of the mini-fridge that’s in my office.
I can’t wait to partition the storage and start using this little guy!
