The theme made me immediately search for gravy – the savory sauce we have in the UK, not the US version – but the lack of a letter G or V made me think otherwise.
Instead, we were hunting for NON DAIRY MILK varieties and although the two most common – oat and soya – were absent, this turned out to be an elementary search with few surprises.
As a lactose-intolerant person, I’ve sampled many of these alternatives and some that didn’t make the cut such as pea, sesame seed and chufa (sometimes known as tiger nut), but I’ve never seen MACADAMIA milk.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT's not-so-new-any-more word game, following Wordle and Connections. It's now a fully fledged member of the NYT's games stable that has been running for a year and which can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
