Some Disney subscribers may see the price of their streaming plans increase next month.
The media giant said it plans to raise the monthly price of select Disney+ subscriptions, including the entry-level plan, by $2 to $3 starting October 21. The change will also impact bundle deals with streamers like ESPN and Hulu.
The price of Disney+'s ad-supported plan is set to go from $9.99 a month to $11.99 a month, for example. The ad-supported Disney bundle that includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN is increasing from $16.99 to $19.99 a month.
The planned price hikes come after Disney made another big announcement this week, bringing back late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.
Disney faced backlash and calls for a boycott of its streaming services over ABC's decision last week to suspend Kimmel's late-night talk show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" The outcry spread as some subscribers considered canceling their Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions.
Disney said Monday that Kimmel's show would resume on Tuesday.
