Yaskawa America, Inc.旗下的Yaskawa Solectria Solar公司将在美国RE+ 2025展会上展示其最新的光伏(PV)逆变器产品。此次展会将重点介绍两款专为美国公用事业规模和大型屋顶应用设计的创新型逆变器。其中包括适用于地面安装光伏项目的XGI 1500-1MW系列中央逆变器,该逆变器具备高直流电压范围和直流/交流过载能力,并集成多重安全保护功能,支持模块化扩展和储能系统集成。另一款是面向大型屋顶安装的PVI-100TL-480系列无变压器组串逆变器,拥有多路MPPT、内置熔断器保护以及模块级快速关断功能,进一步提升了系统的安全性和可靠性。

☀️ **新型公用事业规模中央逆变器:** Yaskawa Solectria Solar 将推出 XGI 1500-1MW 系列中央逆变器,专为地面安装的光伏项目设计。该逆变器支持 860 V 至 1,450 V DC 的宽 MPPT 工作范围,并能承受高达 250% 的直流/交流过载,最高可支持 2.5 MW 的直流输入。其安全特性包括正极熔断器保护、直流隔离开关以及可选的负极接地以缓解潜在诱导衰减 (PID)。模块化设计允许通过 Power-Skids 将 3 至 5 台逆变器组合,实现 2.25 MW 至 4 MW 的可扩展输出功率,并支持双向充电,可与直流或交流耦合的储能系统集成。

Yaskawa Selectria Solar, a subsidiary of Yaskawa America, Inc., and manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) inverters, will be showcasing its latest offerings during RE+ 2025 in the US. The company plans to highlight its 2 new products, tailored for utility and large rooftop applications in the US. 

Central Inverter for Utility  

The XGI 1500-1MW series central inverter, promoted for ground-mounted utility PV projects,  

is equipped with a centralized MPPT channel with an operating range of 860 V to 1,450 V DC. It is designed to connect 4 PV input terminals (+ and -). The positive pole (+) of each terminal is protected with an 800 A fuse, while the negative (-) is grounded. According to the datasheet, its 1,500 V-rated MPPT can support a maximum operating PV power of 1,020 kW and current not exceeding 1,183 A. Engineered for DC/AC oversizing of 250%, it can support up to 2.5 MW DC with a corresponding 3-phase output of 1 MW. 

On the safety front, each positive terminal on the PV input side of the central inverter is protected by an integrated fuse for overcurrent, while the negative carries 0 potential. In addition, these terminals are equipped with an upstream safety feature consisting of 4 DC isolator switches, each with a 600 A capacity, designed for block-wise PV array isolation during maintenance or fault occurrences. According to the company, its negative PV terminal grounding enables mitigation of potential-induced degradation (PID) in connected PV modules. 

The inverter has a modular design, which supports combining 3, 4, or 5 inverters with factory-assembled Power-Skids. This facilitates an expandable output power range that can vary between 2.25 MW and 4 MW, according to the customer’s needs. According to the company, Power-Skids are pre-wired and tested in conjunction with AC combiner boxes in its factory. A transformer can also be integrated on demand. In addition to the upscaling capability, its bidirectional charging functionality makes it adaptable with either a DC-coupled or an AC-coupled energy storage system (ESS). 

Miles C. Russell, Director of Product Management at Yaskawa Solectria Solar, said, “We are very excited to introduce this new line of Utility-Scale inverters and the patented MegaSkid building block for large projects”. He added, “This will accelerate our growth in the Utility-scale solar market and enable us to bring the very best of our technology to our customers”. 

String Inverter for Distributed Generation (DG) 

Targeted at large-scale rooftop installations, the PVI-100TL-480 series transformer-less string inverter features 6 MPPT channels, each carrying up to 4 PV strings and capable of up to 120 A of current. Compared to the central inverter mentioned above, the latter’s MPPT is designed for a lower system voltage of up to 1,000 V DC. However, it features a wider MPPT operating voltage range of 200 V to 1,000 V. Rated for up to 200% DC/AC overloading, the string inverter can deliver up to 100 kW 3-phase AC power. 

Unlike its displayed central inverter’s fuse connected positive (+) pole, the string inverter’s positive (+) and negative (+) terminals are protected by built-in glass fuses against overcurrent events. Meanwhile, the integrated surge protection device (SPD) on both the AC and DC sides shields the entire inverter from voltage surges, typically stemming from external lightning. One of the standout features of this inverter, the company pointed out, is its module-level rapid shutdown (MLRSD) feature, which protects the system and the property in the event of fire. This safety feature is enabled by the company’s so-called ‘wirebox’, which integrates a powerline communication transmitter, supplied by APsmart.  

The company offers a product warranty of up to 5 years for the utility-scale inverter and 10 years for the string inverter. 

Alongside the abovementioned products, Yaskawa will promote its Selectria O&M ECO-SYSTEM for full-circle operation and maintenance (O&M) services to its clients.
