HiTHIUM Joins SCSI: Energy storage company HiTHIUM has officially joined the Supply Chain ESG Stewardship Initiative (SCSI). The initiative was officially launched on June 13 during the “2025 ESG and High-Quality Development Innovation Forum,” jointly initiated by 13 leading enterprises from various industries, including PV and storage players such as GoodWe, JA Solar, and Tongwei. It has now expanded to 20 member companies. The initiative responds to the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and aims to build a sustainable, resilient, and competitive supply chain ecosystem, creating a win-win framework for global sustainable development. Jinergy Announces HJT Technology Breakthrough: Heterojunction (HJT) module manufacturer Jinergy has announced the development of a new “mirror surface treatment technology” that can boost HJT cell conversion efficiency by 0.25%. According to the company, this technology optimizes the cleaning process of mono wafers for HJT and applies a mirroring treatment to the wafer surface, coupled with a new microcrystalline silicon thin-film structure. This improves the passivation effect between crystalline silicon interfaces, enhances internal light absorption within the cell, and effectively reduces microcrystalline silicon carrier recombination loss, ultimately delivering a significant 0.25% boost in conversion efficiency.
AIKO and LONGi Win Offshore PV Module Procurement Tender: Shanghai Shenlin Wind & Solar Power Co., Ltd., a Chinese wind and solar project developer, has announced the winning candidates for its 500 MW (AC) offshore PV project module procurement tender.
· AIKO ranked first, with a bid price of RMB 0.72/Wp ($0.10/Wp) and
· LONGi ranked second, with a bid price of RMB 0.73/Wp ($0.10/Wp).
The offshore PV plant is located in waters near Pudong New Area, Shanghai, 10–16 km off the coast, covering an area of about 14.8 km² with a water depth of around 10 meters. The site plans to host 500 MW(AC) of offshore PV capacity, requiring the procurement of around 1,009,840 pieces of n-type bifacial double-glass modules.

Solis Reports 70.96% YoY Growth in Net Profit for H1 2025: Inverter manufacturer Solis achieved a year-on-year revenue increase of 13.09% in H1 2025, reaching RMB 3,794.07 million ($529.0 million). The net profit attributable to shareholders rose sharply by 70.96% to RMB 602.16 million ($83.9 million). According to its semi-annual report, the company sold 466,200 inverters between January and June, compared with 501,200 units in the same period last year. However, sales revenue increased by around 17% year-on-year, reflecting a rise in average product prices. Solis attributed this mainly to the higher share of large-capacity inverters and energy storage series products. In addition, the company is engaged in distributed PV project business, with cumulative grid-connected installed capacity reaching 1.33 GW as of June 30, 2025.
